I really like the idea of "different and remarkable". This raises the bar in terms of what product qualilty today really means. You may like to check out the post from this Monday on "Does your product create passion" that builds on this theme.

Couldn't agree more with your point that it's about what great brands do, as well as what they say. The old P&G mantra - superior product, superior advertising = superior proposition. For me, it's not just about 'superior' or 'better' anymore, but different and remarkable.
